About a month ago, Maddie had her 1st recital. It was held in a studio and many guests were invited. I got to believe that one of the requirements for entry was that you had to possess and carry a camera. There were camera's everywhere. It was tough getting a shot without someone elses flash lighting your picture even more. This time I used my Pentex slr camera with a 300 zoom and slide film. These are some of the better shots. I then scanned it in my Nikon super coolscan 5000.

Baby shower
Last Saturday, we all went to a baby shower. The significant others were also invited. The couple that hosted the party has a son named Dillon, who, I believe, is 2 years old or close to that. Irelan and Dillon for the most part were civil until they had to share toys. The boxing gloves came out then. Oh well, just 1 more year until they are past the terrible 2's.

Fooooood and lots of it.

Carmel
Last Sunday, i was hoping to drive down to the Big Sur fires and get some pictures. Unfortunately the road was closed and I had to turn back. I did stop by a couple of coves in Carmel and took these pictures. It was foggy most of the morning. The sun broke out as I was leaving on my way home.
This is what I saw a lot of on my way to Big Sur.
Waves splashing on a rock in a secluded beach.
Same beach, different angle.
Same beach, closeup of rock.
These are some crustaceans, (I think that's the right term), embedded on a rock on the beach
I liked this rock formation on cliff near the beach.
A peninsula that I took a picture. It was still foggy and visibility was not that great.
Another peninsula with the fog lifting a little.
I saw this sand formation adjacent to the road. Naturally I took a picture.
I loved the splash of colors from this peninsula.

A "Work of Art"
For Father's Day, my little princess created a drawing for me. To me, and maybe I am biased slightly, I think it rivals Picasso. No, wait, I'm way off. I think it belongs right up there with Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel. Yeah, that's it, it more closely resembles that.
I know I'll probably start receiving all kinds of offers, but I want to go on record and state that this is one painting that is not for sale. How can you put a price on indefectibility (big word huh, look it up).
